NHHS student, Coco Beeby, competed in the Regional School Surfing Titles which was held at Forster's One Mile Beach. The conditions on the day were not the best for surfing, very messy and only 3 to 4 foot waves. Coco took to the water for her heat and was very selective with her choice of wave. This paid off for her and she won her heat. Coco then moved into the final of the U/19 girls. Again the conditions
weren't conducive to surfing, but she once again took her time and picked the
best waves. With some great manoeuvres Coco was named the champion. She will now compete in the New South Wales State School Titles which will be held at Coffs Harbour in July. Students and staff would like to congratulate Coco on what was obviously some great surfing, and wish her all the best with the next part of this competition.
