On Friday 2nd August 17 students travelled to Kingscliff to participate in the Regional Athletics Carnival. Once again this is a big effort from one of the smaller schools in the district. Jayde Hill won the 3000m walk bettering her own record by 31 seconds. Savannah and Mecedes Peterkin also competed strongly. Savannah placed first in 100m, 200m, long jump and triple jump and 3rd in high jump making her the Regional Champion in the girls 15 years. Mercedes placed 2nd in the 100m, 3rd in the 200m and long jump. Shenay Blanch also recorded a great result with a win in the 12 year long jump. Jamie-Lee Duckett 2nd in 12 year discus Kythera Cohen 2nd in the 16 year discus, Cassie Rose 1st in the 800m AWD and Craig Jarrett 1st in the shot put, discus and javelin AWD.
